Service, Vision, Results
Bill McClure is an entrepreneur, healthcare executive, and elected public servant with more than two decades of experience building companies, serving communities, and pushing healthcare technology toward a more connected future.
About William McClure
William McClure, MPA, MBA, has spent more than 20 years at the intersection of healthcare administration and technology. As Founder and Executive Chairman of Health Logistics Group, he oversees a portfolio of companies working to connect providers, patients, and insurers in real time. His focus is straightforward: cut the administrative waste that costs the healthcare system billions and slows care for everyone.
Bill's career has moved through healthcare operations, insurance administration, payment processing, and practice management. He has built and sold multiple companies, completing several successful exits while continuing to fund businesses that take on hard problems in healthcare. That work has expanded well past the United States, with international partners in countries working to modernize their own systems. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, he joined heads of state, royalty, and technology pioneers from more than 37 countries to discuss the future of healthcare and emerging fields like blockchain. Those conversations led to relationships that eventually brought him before an interfaith panel on cooperation and service, and members of the Order of St. James of the Knights of the Netherlands invited him to join in recognition of his commitment to goodwill and community leadership.
What drives Bill isn't a single deal or a single title. He believes business success creates an obligation to give back, not through one-time donations but through lasting structures. He has funded scholarship endowments designed to support future generations long after a check clears. That same thinking shapes how he approaches mentorship, steering entrepreneurs toward decisions that build something real. His interfaith marriage informed the panel he delivered in Davos, turning personal experience into a platform for broader conversation. For Bill, the personal and the professional have never been separate things.
Public service has been a constant alongside his business career. A two-time gubernatorial appointee and former elected St. Johns County Commissioner, he represented roughly 350,000 residents and helped oversee a budget exceeding $1 billion. During his tenure he supported reducing county debt, lowering taxes, and expanding infrastructure investment without losing ground on public safety. He has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem, a foster parent, and a Rotary Club President who still lives by Rotary's principle of Service Above Self. From local food assistance to clean water projects in underserved communities abroad, Bill's record in the community is as long as his record in business.
Today Bill remains focused on Health Logistics Group and the broader goal of a real-time, transparent healthcare system that works better for patients and providers alike. He continues to mentor entrepreneurs, build scholarship programs, and invest in organizations that create change that lasts. His measure of leadership has always been the same: not what you accumulate, but the lasting difference you leave behind.
